Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh, salam sejahtera, dan salam IbuPertiwiku.

On behalf of the committee members of Institution in this Land of Hornbill; Sarawak, I would like to express our greatest appreciation for keen support of the members in all the activities and initiatives. 

It’s truly a great honour for me to be granted such trust that I could serve as your 2018/19 Chair and to follow in the footsteps on Ir. Vincent and so many great chairs who have served before me.  I am surely looking forward to working with the gathered momentum team in the year ahead, for the next leap of IEM Sarawak branch.

Engineering profession has been entrusted greatest challenge in spearheading to build the nation into a developed country.  We, all the committee members have continuously taken steps to improve the quality of the institution service and its service delivery system to the engineering fraternity in this region. This website is established aiming to provide a platform independently for IEM Sarawak branch; enabling effective dissemination of information to members; connecting all the industrial players. In other words, we have deliberately embarked on making complicated work processes simple, and making simple work even simpler for our stakeholders without compromising integrity and quality of the service itself.

Apart from the above, there is a lot more that needs to be done to enhance and strengthen the branch’s delivery system. In line with IEMs’ vision we will continually raise our standards, benchmarking against the established best practice of delivery standard which eventually will become the benchmark itself.

Conrad Hilton once said, “Success seems to be connected with action. Successful people keep moving.”

The same can be said about successful industries and successful associations. Our new vision gives us great momentum. Let’s keep moving and create more success in the months and year ahead.
